Privacy Policy

WDI Corporation and its group companies (hereinafter collectively referred to as “WDI GROUP”) deeply recognize that, in the course of providing services related to restaurant business, the protection of personal information as it pertains to personal privacy is extremely important. WDI GROUP sets forth the basic policy regarding the protection of personal information (the “privacy policy”) as stated below (hereinafter referred to as this “Privacy Policy”) and acts in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy in order to properly manage and control customers’ personal information.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

In handling personal information, WDI GROUP will comply with applicable laws and regulations relating to personal information including the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, the provisions stated in this Privacy Policy and other norms, and will act based on the internal rules of WDI GROUP.

2. Purpose for Use of Personal Information

WDI GROUP will use personal information to provide services and announcements to customers and to respond to inquiries from customers to the extent as necessary. WDI GROUP will not use personal information beyond the extent necessary to accomplish the purposes stated above.
In collecting personal information, WDI GROUP will expressly indicate the purpose of use, provide a point of contact and collect personal information to the extent as necessary.

3. Acquisition of Personal Information

WDI GROUP will acquire personal information by lawful and appropriate means.

4. Subcontracting of Personal Information Handling

If WDI GROUP subcontracts the handling of personal information, WDI GROUP will ensure that its subcontractor is obligated to protect personal information under a non-disclosure agreement executed between them or otherwise, and supervise its subcontractor to ensure that it properly handles personal information.

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Party

WDI GROUP will not disclose or provide personal information to any third party without prior approval of a person who has supplied such personal information, unless otherwise provided for by laws and regulations.

6. Joint Use of Personal Information

When WDI GROUP jointly uses personal information with WDI GROUP companies and franchisees, WDI GROUP will, in advance, give notice of or disclose (i) that the personal information will be jointly used, (ii) details of the personal information to be jointly used, (iii) the range of companies that jointly use the personal information, (iv) the purpose of joint use and (v) the name of a company responsible for management of the personal information.

7. Disclosure, etc.

When a customer requests to disclose, correct, delete or suspend the use of the personal information, WDI GROUP will respond promptly, within a reasonable period of time and to the extent that it deems appropriate.

8. Contact Point for Inquiries and Complaints

WDI GROUP will establish the contact point to respond to inquiries and consultations regarding personal information in an appropriate and prompt manner.

9. Security Control Action

In the management and control of personal information, WDI GROUP will exert its efforts to protect personal information with the utmost care to prevent leakage of personal information and by taking reasonable security measures against risks relating to personal information such as unauthorized access, loss, destruction, manipulation and divulgence of personal information.
WDI GROUP will request that its franchisees, suppliers and other related parties cooperate to protect personal information.

10. Continuous Improvement

WDI GROUP will continuously organize and improve the internal system in order to protect personal information, and exert its efforts to improve its management system and initiatives for the protection of personal information by reviewing them on a regular basis. WDI GROUP will exert its efforts to protect personal information by continuously educating and cultivating its employees including officers for the protection of personal information.
