 Carpricciosa served to ignite the Italian cuisine boom as a pioneer in casual Italian dining through the deliciousness of its handmade creations and the excitement of sharing generous portions of Southern
Italian cooking in a relaxing atmosphere. It all began in 1977 when Mr.Masaaki Honda opened the first Capricciosa in Shibuya, Tokyo. In 1985, WDI partnered with Mr. Honda, thus beginning an era of multiple
restaurant development. Capricciosa grew to encompass 150 locations throughout Japan and overseas in places such as Hawaii and Guam, serving
roughly 12 million guests annually.
And on October 7, 2005, the first Capricciosa in Taiwan will be unveiled. The restaurant will be located on the first floor of an office building near the intersection of Nanjing East Road and Fusing North
Road in the Zong Shan District of central Taipei. “Guests at this new location will dine in a casual atmosphere while enjoying “the deliciousness of handmade creations” and “the excitement of sharing
generous portions,” both concepts of “Capricciosa” since its inception.
